These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GamQuit mobile application and the gamquit.com website (together, the "Service"), operated by GamQuit LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("GamQuit", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
What GamQuit is
GamQuit is a digital tool designed to support people who want to stop gambling. It provides streak tracking, money-saved calculations, urge management exercises, peer community, and educational content.
GamQuit is not a substitute for professional medical care, addiction counseling, or therapy. Gambling addiction is a serious health condition. If you are in crisis or feel you need clinical support, please contact a qualified healthcare provider, a licensed counselor, or one of the services listed at the bottom of this page.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use GamQuit. By creating an account, you confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and that the information you provide is accurate.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at support@gamquit.com.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your contact details current. You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
Subscriptions and payments
GamQuit offers a free tier and optional premium subscriptions:
- Free: Streak counter, money tracker, urge blocker, and basic features. No payment required, no trial countdown.
- Premium Monthly: $9.99 USD per month, billed monthly
- Premium Annual: $59.99 USD per year, billed annually
Prices may vary by region and are shown in your local currency at checkout. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel any time in your Apple ID Subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep premium access until then.
Refunds: All refunds are handled by Apple under their published refund policy. We have no ability to issue App Store refunds directly. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, request one through reportaproblem.apple.com.
Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service to promote, advertise, or solicit gambling of any kind
- Post links to gambling websites, sports betting platforms, or casino operators
- Harass, threaten, or shame other users — especially those in active relapse
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your recovery journey for financial gain
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute community content without consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Violation of these rules may result in warnings, content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban — at our discretion, and without refund.
Community content
You retain ownership of the content you post (your stories, comments, reactions). By posting, you grant GamQuit a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store that content as part of operating the Service. We do not claim ownership and we do not sell user-generated content.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or that we deem harmful to the community, but we are not obligated to monitor all content.
Intellectual property
GamQuit, the GamQuit logo, the level system (Seed, Sprout, Growth, Bloom, Flourish, Transcend), the design system, the app code, and all original written content are the property of GamQuit LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute these without written permission.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet any specific recovery outcome. Recovery from addiction is highly individual and depends on many factors outside any app's control.
Money-saved calculations are estimates based on the information you provide and are for motivational purposes only. They are not financial advice or accounting records.
The community features connect you with other users, not with licensed therapists or medical professionals. Advice shared by community members is peer support, not clinical guidance.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GamQuit LLC and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or recovery progress — arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. We will give you reasonable notice where possible.
Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you don't agree to the new Terms, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, except where you have non-waivable rights under your local consumer protection laws (in which case those laws apply).
